Francophone Youth Parliament
Organized by our
partner, the Conseil jeunesse francophone de la CB, this four-day
long non-partisan mock parliament allows participants to assume
roles as MLAs, government and opposition members, as well as cabinet
ministers in B.C.
During
their stay in Victoria, young people between the ages of 14 and
25 have the opportunity to live the life of an MLA, and to exchange
and debate their ideas and opinions on a range of issues and provincial
legislation. Participants learn to act within, and respect,
the traditions and procedures of the Legislative Assembly.
It is also an occasion to meet and socialize
with Francophones and Francophiles from across the province.
Games, music, dance, an evening banquet and sports are all part of the
event. For more information, please see attached description,
in French, as well as appropriate registration forms. Only
10 spots are available to students of immersion programmes..
