Accent - Official Languages Program
Accent is a part-time work experience as a language assistant available to postsecondary students who are studying at an
institution outside their home province or territory.
Destination Clic
Are you passionate about discovery, meeting new people and practical workshop activities in another region of Canada? Destination Clic helps you build your potential by way of a placement along with other young students in different francophone communities around Canada. The programme offers a five week training in the French language and Francophone culture in Spring and Summer. You may choose to homestay with a francophone family or live in college residences at the University of Ottawa, University of Moncton, College of Jonquiere or Uniersity of Quebec at Trois Rivieres. Best of all, you will receive a $1900 scholarship towards tuition.
Odyssey (full-time) formerly called the Official
Language Monitor Program
The Official Language Monitor Program grants bursaries to post-secondary
students to enable them to work either
full-time (Odyssey program) or part-time
(Accent program), under the guidance of teachers, in schools in another
province.
Camp Bernard - Volunteers Needed Sooke area of Vancouver
Island French immersion students can volunteer to work at a French camp for

Young Canada Works helps create summer jobs for young Canadians. Students have
the opportunity to work in other parts of the country at National Parks and
Historic Sites, Heritage Institutions, or Official Languages. For more

Katimavik
is Canada's national youth corps, it's mission is to foster the
personal development of our nation's young people, ages of 17
and 21, through a challenging 7 month program of volunteer community
work, training and group interaction. Experience group living,
get to know your country better, discover new work methods and
improve your French.
Les
Jeux de la Francophonie
This national event is organized by La
fédération de la jeunesse canadienne-française and
sponsored by the Department of Canadian Heritage. The objectives include
enabling young French-speaking Canadians to meet and exchange ideas and
experiences as well as allowing these French-speaking athletes and artists to
compete at a national level. Les jeux de la francophonie pays for all expenses
related to travel, lodging and meals for the student participants. Ages include
15-17. Categories include Sports, Arts, Musical Awakening and Leadership.
Parliamentary Guide Program
If you are a full-time
student at a recognized university, are available for full-time employment from
1 May to Labour Day and are able to answer a variety of questions on the spot
and with equal ease in French and English apply to work as a guide on

& Yukon Rencontre Française - Looking for Volunteers
French immersion students in grades 11 or 12 (whose parents are
members of the CPF) can volunteer as a junior monitor at CPF-BC
& Yukon's Youth Conference, Rencontre Française. Students
have fun, use their French and earn hours to apply to the CAPP

The Explore - Second-Language Summer Program
formerly called the Summer
Language Bursary Program assists post-secondary students
to learn their second official language or, in the case of Francophone
minorities, to perfect their mother tongue through five-week immersion
courses at accredited institutions.
Summer
Work / Student Exchange Program is a six-week summer employment
program aimed at students aged 16 and 17 who will be returning
to school in September. Students selected for the program work
at a summer job in a federal riding in a province other than their
own. Participating ridings are paired so that students can work
in their second official language. During their stay in the host
riding, students live with the family of the student with whom
they have been paired. Co-ordinators (university students) supervise
program participants and develop a program of activities for their
benefit.

Canada Works
More than 2500 summer jobs for young Canadians are offered through
this program in the following areas:
- Building careers in both official languages - for college
& university graduates under 31 years old working for
Canadian and international companies, institutions and organizations
- National Parks and National Historic Sites - for secondary
students between 16 and 18 for 6 to 8 weeks.
- Heritage Organizations - for young people between 16 and 30
for 6 to 16 consecutive weeks.

International Internship Program
Offered by
the Government of Canada's Youth Employment Strategy: the Department of Foreign
Affairs and International Trade. For young out-of-school Canadians who are
available for 6-8 months and fit the eligibility criteria for both the program
