BILINGUALISM ROCKS is back for FALL 2010!

Our wildly successful Bilingualism Rocks! (BR!) tour is back. The 2008/2009 tour played to 8,000 children in 25 communities (excluding metro Vancouver and Victoria) in BC & the Yukon. This new edition of BR! features a single set of performers - Alberta’s Trad’badour - offering a concert and two workshops with each school booking. In addition, this time chapters and schools in metro Vancouver and Victoria will be eligible to book a BR! performance. Finally, Trad’badour will be touring a specially commissioned piece with BC-specific content, celebrating core Canadian values like bilingualism and our shared history.

Bilingualism Rocks Tour is a travelling production of bilingual entertainers sponsored by Canadian Parents for French BC & Yukon, with financial support from Canadian Heritage. The aim of Bilingualism Rocks is to bring young Canadians together in cultural celebration, establishing and extending relationships between young Francophones and Francophiles in communities across BC. Our aim is to deepen the appreciation of the richness of French language and culture - specifically music and storytelling - through interactive performances and workshops.

CPF - BC & Yukon Presents TRAD'BADOUR!

This year's Bilingualism Rocks tour will feature the Franco-Albertan duo Trad-badour, who toured during the second half of the 1st edition of Bilingualism Rocks in 2009.

For the 2010 tour they are offering interactive performances, which include a 1 hour show AND 45 minute workshops, to schools with French Immersion, Francophone and Core French programs and communities throughout the province. The school shows are targeted for Kindergarten through to Grade 9, but can be adapted for a Grade 10-12 audience. It's French fun for all ages!
